Meet Our Ingredients: ROSE HIP SEED OIL

This week's showcased ingredient is Rose Hip Seed Oil

Rose Hip Seed Oil is just one of the amazing ingredients in our Pure Revitalizing Cream

Welcome to the 5th edition of "Meet Our Ingredients". Each month we will showcase the ingredients we use in our products to keep you informed of what you are putting on your body, why it is so powerful, and how it works to give you amazing skin.

Hawaiian Healing Skin Care prides itself on using only natural and organic ingredients in each of our products. We don't include any chemicals or synthetic elements – only items nature provides. We like to say nature knows what you need, so we are giving it to you in each amazing Hawaiian Healing product.

Rose Hip Seed Oil is known as the “dry oil” because of its absorbency. It's a non-greasy oil full of vitamins, antioxidants, and essential fatty acids. This powerful ingredient has been known to correct dark spots, reduce scars and fine lines, and hydrate the skin.

Acting as a barrier against the elements, it protects the skin from free radicals and increases cell regeneration. The vitamins found in Rosehip seed oil -  A, E, C, D, and B-carotene - are all antioxidants that fight cell deterioration and help maintain the proper balance of oxygen within our cells.

Studies have found the topical application of certain vitamins is several times more efficient than consuming them in food or food additives. For instance, vitamin D works best when it’s mixed with fatty substances, and vitamin A supplements don’t compare to its topical benefits.

“Vitamin A may also play a part in rosehip oil’s effect on scar tissue due to its ability to improve skin texture and tone,” according to

The vitamin A in oils penetrates your skin because of its molecular structure. Because the molecules are so small, it allows them to go deeper into your skin to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and, improve your skin’s moisture levels.

Rosehip seed oil is also high in vitamin C, making it one of the richest plant sources for the skin. As described by the Cleveland Clinic, “the vitamin C antioxidants stimulate collagen production.”

The bottom line is…

Rosehip Seed Oil is a necessary ingredient in our Hawaiian Healing Pure Revitalizing Cream formula. It helps reduce fine lines, wrinkles, scars, blemishes, breakouts, dryness, and infuses your skin with natural healing agents.

Rosehip Seed Oil has a multitude of healing properties, promotes healthy skin-cell growth, protects from free radicals, and absorbs down into your skin’s deeper layers. No need to wonder why this oil is used in so many skin and hair care products! It’s pretty amazing, right?
