Derived directly from the Big Island of Hawai’i, Hawaiian Healing Skin Care’s macadamia nut oil is harvested and pressed by local farmers to obtain the multitude of benefits that the macadamia tree provides naturally. In addition to the macadamia flower honey in our ingredients, the nut oil itself provides numerous skin-nourishing advantages.

Macadamia nut oil contains monounsaturated fatty acids including Oleic Acid (Omega-9) which are extremely moisturizing, regenerative, and soothing- which makes it perfect for all skin types. Omega-3 fatty acids are an anti-inflammatory, whereas omega-6 works as a pro-inflammatory, which is great for those who suffer from skin sensitivities.

This amazing oil also contains Palmitoleic Acid (Omega-7), an active microbial that is naturally found in youthful skin. As we age, the omega-7 levels in our skin diminish, contributing to the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines and weathered skin. Macadamia nut oil also helps slow signs of aging.

Additionally, macadamia nut oil has been touted to help soothe and relieve sunburns due to its fatty acid content that make it yet another powerful anti-inflammatory. It is also high in Phytosterols, a calming and healing component, known to help repair the skin’s barrier function.
