Meet Our Ingredients: Rose Hydrosol

Welcome to the 7th edition of "Meet Our Ingredients." Each month we will showcase the ingredients we use in our products to keep you informed of what you are putting on your body, why it is so powerful, and how it works to give you amazing skin.

Hawaiian Healing Skin Care prides itself on using only natural and organic ingredients in each of our products. We don't include any chemicals or synthetic elements—only items nature provides. We like to say nature knows what you need, so we are giving it to you in each amazing Hawaiian Healing product.

Rose Hydrosol (also known as Rose Flower Water or Rose Water) is the resulting liquid that is created from simmering or distilling roses.

The petals of the rose create a light fragrance and release natural properties that help alleviate many ailments. It nourishes skin health and restores skin's radiance, beauty, and youthfulness. Rose hydrosol helps restore moisture balance and is used to enhance circulation.

This special ingredient has been used for centuries in a variety of ways. For example, rose water can be used in cooking as a flavor enhancer or as a remedy for digestive issues like bloating and an upset stomach. It has also been used to help enhance mood and calm anxiety, as well as help recover from colds and the flu.

How does Rosewater help the skin?

Rosewater is incredibly versatile and can be used on a variety of skin types. It is most well known for its benefits in aromatherapy and skin/hair enhancing benefits. Whether your skin is oily, dry, sensitive, or a combination - rose water can be very beneficial to use! It contains anti-inflammatory properties that help to reduce redness and inflammation caused by various skin conditions and antioxidants that help restore and rejuvenate the skin. Because it also acts as a toner on the skin, it can help reduce redness, soothe irritation, and can tighten and help clean out enlarged pores.

Why should you add Rose Water to your Beauty Routine?

The benefits of using rose water for the skin are pretty amazing. While it cleanses and moisturizes, it also helps to strengthen and regenerate skin cells. Rosewater is a pretty powerful elixir that not only will refresh your skin but will also work to heal it. Plus, it produces a soft, floral fragrance that absorbs quickly and doesn’t linger.

Along with 18 additional ingredients in our Hawaiian Healing Pure Revitalizing Cream, Rose Hydrosol is one of the most hydrating, rejuvenating ingredients for your skincare regime.
