On January 18, 1778, the English explorer Captain James Cook becomes the first European to discover the Hawaiian Islands when he sails past the island of Oahu. Two days later, he landed at Waimea on the island of Kauai and named the island group the Sandwich Islands, in honor of John Montague, who was the Earl of Sandwich and one of his patrons.
Years later, another discovery was made while reviewing some of Captain Cook's personal journals. You see, he had made some notations and observations of what appeared to be a shallow, protected shoal on the outer reaches of Oahu. Located several meters offshore, and all to itself.
This shoal appeared to be settled off alone, yet had lush vegetation and the purest blue-green waters of any area that he had previously explored. What he found while taking a small group of his crew along with him to investigate, was actually an island in the shape of a crescent moon, with a protected reef formation, a white sandy beach on the leeward side, and a blackened sand beach on the windward face. From its natural birth and years of evolution, a diverse selection of floral and fauna, including some very rare and never before seen tropical birds, fruit and vegetation were discovered.
Upon finding this unique tropical setting, Captain Cook, wanting to keep this discovery a secret had decided not to record the location for public knowledge, reserving this as a natural habitat for its current residents, leaving it undisturbed and since protected.
After many years have passed, fortunately for us, another landing party discovered this unique magical location and upon experiencing the cay for themselves, captured some of their findings and memoirs from their personal explorations on the island. Today, we are happy to be sharing a sense of this wonderful discovery in a scent that will deliver you some sense of this exciting locale.
With that in mind, we are proud to present you with this amazing new perfume from Hawaiian Healing. Experience the sensation of ingredients, and explore within your own mind as it conjures images of this wonderfully unspoiled location, where nature works in harmony with the universe, and sensations of fresh air, Pacific tropicals, and floral scents fill the air. Where wildlife is free and roams on and around the cay. Where the Flying fish dance in ballet to a tune of warm splashing waves upon the shoreline. Dolphins and rays are in abundance, and within the waters of the cay, the coral is absolutely breathtaking.
Won't you join us on a discovery of a sense and wonder that truly demonstrates our gratitude for these gifts from nature?
